A famous artist, whose son was greatly ashamed of her hot scenes, preferred death to the leader’s money. You will not believe who she is.

She was distinguished by her boldness in most of her cinematic, television and theatrical works, and she achieved wide fame and a large audience, in Egypt and at the level of the Arab world.

It is the beautiful artist Nawal Aboul Fotouh, who entered art and presented many roles, some of which depend on temptation, and then corrected her path in other works in which she does not rely on any role in which she is tempted, following her son collapsed from crying because of her hot scenes in her previous roles.

The artist, Nawal Aboul Fotouh, was also distinguished by the performance of the character of the authoritarian woman, including in the series Al-Shahd wa Al-Dawwar and the Other Face series, and in her role as the character of Queen Shajarat Al-Durr.

Nawal Aboul Fotouh was born on April 10, 1940 in the village of Azizia in the Egyptian governorate of Sharkia. She graduated from the Music Institute in 1961, as a pianist, and worked in the same year as a music teacher.

The beginning of her artistic career was when she applied for the New Faces competition, which was organized by the artist Abdel Moneim Madbouly, to win and participate in the play of the General Inspector.

A year later, she participated in the play Gulfdan Hanim, and then the movie The Wife 13, to continue her work in the sixties and seventies, most notably “She and the Devils, 30 Days in Prison, and Client 77.”

The great artist, Nawal Aboul Fotouh, married Samir Abu Ghadara in 1969 and gave birth to their son Ahmed, and she separated from him in 1973, regarding four years later.

She retired from art for five years, to raise her son, and returned in 1979. She said in a very frank dialogue program that the reason for her retirement was the crying of her only son, Ahmed, who was so ashamed of the seductive roles she plays in films.

Upon her return, her artistic skin changed to present the roles of the strong, iron woman, with unforgettable performance, emotions and facial features, in many social and religious series.

Actress Nawal Aboul Fotouh was diagnosed with bone cancer and rejected the leader Adel Imam’s initiative to allocate a day’s revenue from showing his play Body Guard for her treatment, and justified this by saying that she does not accept charity from anyone, even if he is a friend of hers.

The Syndicate of Acting Professions in Egypt treated her at the expense of the state, following cancer had reached a late stage, and she died on her birthday on April 10, 2007, following spending 17 days in intensive care.
