The famous artist Mervat Amin was born in 1964, her mother is of Scottish origin, and her father is Egyptian. She started her artistic career by chance, and graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Department of English, following the late “Ahmed Ramzy” watched her and admired her beauty and eloquence, so he nominated her for the artist “Ahmed Mazhar”, to participate with him in The movie “Confused Souls”.
Mervat is one of the most important artists of the last century, because of the wonderful artworks she presented, during which she emerged and her star shined until she was nicknamed the “Egyptian cinema cat”, because of her glamorous beauty and innocent features.
She participated in more than 120 films, since the beginning of her career, specifically in the late sixties, specifically the movie “My Father Over the Tree”, with the brown Nightingale Abdel Halim Hafez, the movie “Gossip over the Nile”, in 1971, the movie “The Grandson” and the movie “Searching for a Scandal”. ”, and “Barefoot on the Gold Bridge”, with “Hussein Fahmy”.
Her famous movie “The Greatest Child in the World”, with the late Rushdi Abaza and the late Hind Rostom, remains the reason behind her classification as one of the most daring actresses, and her title of “A seduction star” because she abandoned all her clothes in one of the scenes that Rushdi Abaza collects.
On the other hand, the film was classified as one of the boldest films produced by Arab cinema, because of the bold scenes it contained, which caused it to be prevented from showing.
