The inhabitants of Roeulx are still in shock following the terrible events that took place on the night of Saturday to Sunday in Ville-sur-Haine where a family of five lost their lives in a fire. The flames spread so quickly that neighbors and firefighters mightn’t do anything to get the victims of the fire out.
The investigation is now ongoing. According to the first conclusions of the experts, the fire would be of accidental origin. “It seems that the fire was accidental, linked to a short circuit“, indicates the parquet floor of Mons.
As a reminder, the victims are from the same family, made up of nonagenarian grandparents, parents and their 20-year-old son. Several neighbors tried to intervene, in vain. One of the victims, Alexandra, was volunteering to read to a class at George Price School.
