A family in Missouri, USA, has found their dog more than five years after he went missing.
The dog was found in Kansas City, a four-hour drive from his home, by animal control.
“We put up posters, we did research, but no one had seen it,” says its owner.
The family adopted the dog in 2017 from a shelter. She had made sure to microchip him. However, no one ever contacted the family when he was missing.
“The door for the dog must not have been closed properly,” he recalls, when his beloved animal disappeared.
“I would never have expected this after so many years,” he exclaimed.
