A family decimated in a dramatic road accident in Ariège: the profile of the six victims revealed

A road accident killed six people this Friday, August 19 in Occitania. In one of the two vehicles that collided head-on in Ariège were four members of the same family, according to information revealed by the gendarmes of Foix.

A terrible road accident killed ten people this Friday August 19 in Occitania. Six did not survive the pileup that occurred in the town of Savignac-les-Ormeaux, in Ariège, in the middle of the followingnoon.

In one of the two vehicles which collided head-on on the national 20 there were four members of the same family, according to the information revealed by the gendarmes of Foix and taken up by The Dispatch.

In the first vehicle, a Peugeot Traveller, was a 24-year-old driver and five passengers born between 1993 and 2021. All were of Chinese origin but lived in Spain. The emergency services indicated that two people had died in this vehicle. The other occupants were treated in serious condition.

A 19-year-old man loses his entire family in the accident

The four people – two adults and their children aged 11 and 15 – in the second car, a Toyota Corolla, all lost their lives. They were from Deux-Sèvres. According The New Republicthe third child of the family, aged 19, stayed to work during the summer and had therefore not followed his family on vacation.
