Important deployment of rescue services this Sunday, between Mont Rigi and Baraque Michel in Waimes. A collision between two vehicles traveling in the direction of Baraque Michel occurred there shortly following noon.
According to our information, a Ford Focus estate vehicle, with a family on board, made a U-turn in a fire road. The vehicle behind him failed to brake in time. The collision was therefore inevitable.
The point of impact being at the height of the driver, the latter was imprisoned. The emergency services intervened in large numbers to free her from the car.
She is injured but, fortunately, her life is not in danger. No other family members on board the station wagon were injured.
The road was temporarily closed to traffic to allow the intervention of the emergency services.
