A spectacular accident occurred in the night from Friday to Saturday, on the N98 near the Auvelais exit towards Arsimont. It was 4:30 a.m. when the emergency services were called to the scene. The driver of a Volkswagen Polo was traveling towards Fosses-la-Ville when he fell asleep at the wheel.
The car swerved to the right. The flank struck a light pole on the side of the road. The VW then rolled over several times before landing on its roof, in the middle of the road.
The Val de Sambre firefighters intervened with a beaconing vehicle and an ambulance. The driver was, miraculously, only slightly injured. The SamSom police marked the scene. It was the Daussoulx road police who managed the findings.
The MD Dépannage repairman took care of removing the car. During the day, a team from Ronveaux de Ciney removed the damaged post.
