[Animal News]A few days ago in Man Kam To, a dog was suspected of being hit by a car and was seriously injured. He reluctantly climbed to a nearby warehouse to ask for help. When the “Langlang Association” volunteers arrived the night before, the dog lay helplessly in the corner of the warehouse, bleeding from his lower body. The volunteers renamed the dog “Wen Zai”, and contacted many veterinary clinics with the “Lang Lang Home” volunteers, but no one was willing to treat the dog. It was not until 3 am that night that the dog was sent to the CityU Animal Medical Center, where his pelvic bone was found. Fragmentation, displacement of vertebrae, multiple fractures of the body, and a burst testicle. Because the medical bills were too expensive, the Lang Lang family transferred him to the NPV non-profit veterinary clinic yesterday, where complex surgery will be performed later. Wen Zai is only 1 year old, and the volunteers hope that everyone will cheer for Wen Zai and endure the dangerous period.
The scene of the incident was a warehouse in Man Kam To. On the followingnoon of October 12, a dog that was bleeding from its lower body climbed in. A staff member asked the volunteers for help. When the Lang Lang Association volunteers arrived, they found the dog lying in the corner of the warehouse. He sent him to a 24-hour clinic and renamed the dog “Wen Zai”, but when the doctor saw Wen Zai’s injury, he said it mightn’t be treated, so the volunteers called every 24-hour clinic in Hong Kong. The reply was either that he did not have the confidence to heal, or that he refused on the grounds that there was no doctor onsite. They later found a clinic willing to attend, but following the doctor’s examination, the suggestion was euthanasia, and the volunteers expressed their unwillingness to give up Wen Zai.
April, the founder of Lang Lang Family, also helped to follow up following learning regarding Wen Zai’s incident at 11 o’clock that night. She told this newspaper that many clinics were unwilling to accept it. After watching Wen Zai’s injury and bleeding for many hours, she might not be treated. , feel very desolate. It was not until 3 am that the volunteers sent Wen Zai to the CityU Animal Medical Center. The veterinarian judged that the operation was acceptable, but indicated that the operation cost was high. After Wen Zai was hospitalized at CityU Animal Medical Center for one night, volunteers transferred him to NPV the next day. The Lang Lang Family is currently responsible for Wen Zai’s medical arrangements.
April said that Wen Zai’s condition was very serious, with a fractured pelvis, displacement of the vertebrae, multiple fractures in the body and a burst testicle. She pointed out that Man Tsai’s testicular tissue had begun to necrosis and blackened, and she was worried that it would lead to peritoneal inflammation, because the excision operation was performed last night, and other operations might only be performed following the computer scan report.
She hopes that everyone will cheer for Wen Zai so that he can successfully complete the operation. She also pointed out that according to the section of the road where the governor happened, there have been incidents of dogs being hit by cars in the past.
