A doctor warns: Do not take these medicines in the morning?!

Many people don’t realize it, but knowing what time of day you take your medications makes a big difference with many prescriptions. When taking a new drug, it is necessary to ask your doctor or pharmacist everything there is to know regarding the drug and what time of day will be most effective, according to Dr. Al-Sabah and the reasons for this, according to what was published by the specialized medical website “eat this not that”.

1- Muscle relaxants

“Muscle relaxants such as cyclobenzaprine, methocarbamol and others make people sleepy and often lead to falls,” says Dr. Majlesi. It also causes dry mouth and constipation. If you are going to use it, let it be before bedtime.”

2 – Supplement Kava capsules

Dr. Maglesi tells us that kava is a supplement often used for its anxiolytic effects. Unfortunately, sedation and difficulty concentrating can be a problem with its use. Avoid it in the morning. It is better to take it before bedtime if it continues.

3- Antihypertensives

Dr. Maglesi explains that antihypertensives such as beta blockers and calcium channel blockers should be avoided during the day. Eating them before bed may provide some cardiovascular benefits. One of the side effects often is fatigue. So taking it in the morning may perpetuate this effect.

4- Cholesterol drugs

It is best to take cholesterol medications in the evening because most cholesterol is formed in the early morning.

5- Allergy drugs

“Generally speaking, most of these drugs will make people sleepy,” Majlesi stresses. Taking it before bed makes sense to avoid many unwanted side effects during the day.”
