A doctor reveals the reason for high sugar despite eating a “sugar-free” juice product

Al-Marsad newspaper: One of the doctors answered the question: “Why does my diabetes rise even though I drink juice that says sugar-free?”

The doctor said: “The juice written on it without added sugar means there is sugar, but it is free of added sugar.”

He pointed out: “Always focus on carbohydrates. We rely on their calculation to raise sugar,” noting: “If carbohydrates 0 does not raise sugar, and if carbohydrates are present, then sugar is calculated.”
