A doctor reveals the cause of King Charles III’s severe swelling of the fingers

Al-Marsad newspaper: Doctor Gareth Ney revealed the causes of King Charles III, King of Britain, suffering from severe swelling of the fingers.

Nye said that for years, King Charles III had suffered from chilblains, a chronic disease that the king himself jokingly called “sausage fingers”, while on a tour of Australia, following a long trip in 2012.

He explained that many health conditions can be responsible for swelling, noting that the most important of them are water retention and aging, according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”.

He added that this type of swelling is called edema, a condition in which the body begins to retain fluid in the extremities, usually in the legs and ankles, and in the fingers as well, which leads to swelling, and elderly people can develop this disorder if they sit for long periods of time.

And recent photos of King Charles III showed his red swollen fingers, following attention shifted to him following the death of Queen Elizabeth II and his accession to the throne.
