Faced with the complaint of alleged sexual harassment and workplace harassment at the EsSalud Hospital, Dr. Cesar Napa, head of the Moquegua Assistance Network, reported that actions were taken in this regard.
It indicated that the alleged aggressor, Dr. William Pinto, was removed from his duties and that the administrative process is ongoing.
“An administrative process has been opened and we are waiting for the results to be able to issue a final opinion,” he said.
The defendant was head of service until mid-January 2023. As for the complainant doctor, she clarified that it is not a suspension or she was separated from the hospital. It is a term of employment relationship.
He assured that he had a previous sanction in the Tacna Network and that, upon learning of it, he was forced to remove the employment relationship that the doctor had because he could not continue like this.
Napa, did not want to provide an opinion if the complaint has a footing, because there is an entity in charge and he would not have the capacity to catalog this type of event.
As recalled, last December 2022, a doctor reported, to the management of the EsSalud Moquegua Assistance Network, for alleged acts of sexual harassment of her immediate boss, William Albert Pinto Samanez, who was dean of the Medical College of this region . To date, the case is under investigation; however, the doctor was fired from her position.
The health professional worked in the Endocrinology area at Hospital II de EsSalud de Moquegua, when her immediate boss sent her messages via WhatsApp that were not related to labor issues.
