A disaster on Earth in the event of a planet between Mars and Jupiter… What did a study reveal?

A recent study dealing with the structure of our solar system system revealed catastrophic results in the event of a planet between Mars and Jupiter, as this may overthrow the planet Earth outside the solar system.

The Italian magazine “Focus” stated that this conclusion was reached by astrophysicist Stephen Kane, who explained that his results came after a study that wanted to address some questions in planetary science.

The study investigated why there is no planet between Mars and Jupiter, as planetary scientists believe there should have been at least one rocky-type planet in that area of space.

Kane conducted dynamic computer simulations through which he wanted to know the consequences of the presence of a planet between Mars and Jupiter. The results of his study showed that the presence of a planet in this space of the solar system could have been a major problem.

“The presence of such a planet would have given Jupiter a slight additional gravitational potential, but that power would be enough to destabilize all the other planets,” Kane explained.

Kane continued: “Jupiter is much larger than all the other planets combined, with a mass of 318 times the mass of Earth, so the effect of its gravity will be enormous, which could enable Jupiter at the time to expel Mercury, Venus and Earth from the solar system and most likely also Uranus and Neptune.

According to that hypothesis, even if the Earth is not pushed out of the solar system, its orbit will change to such an extent that conditions suitable for sustaining life will be destroyed.

The importance of this study lies in focusing on the role of giant planets such as Jupiter in many solar systems, which could affect the existence of life on small rocky planets.

Kane concludes by saying: “Our solar system is more precise and organized than previously thought. It works like the gears of a clock. If you put an additional gear between them, everything will be disrupted.” (Sputnik)
