A digital twin so Bruce Willis can play again?

Suffering from aphasia, actor Bruce Willis may have found a way to practice his craft once more using artificial intelligence, The Telegraph has reported.

After signing a contract with the American company Deepcake, Bruce Willis’ deepfake was spotted in a phone commercial in Europe.

“With the advent of modern technology, I might communicate, work and participate in filming, even while being on another continent”, shared Bruce Willis on the Deepcake site. “It’s a whole new and interesting experience for me.”

With artificial intelligence, deepfakes are created with the aim of replacing one person featured in a recorded video with another.

In March, the family of Bruce Willis announced that the actor was retiring due to a diagnosis of aphasia, a language disorder.
