A difficult Christmas for Marilou

On December 25, Marilou, founder of 3 fois par jour, shared a photo of herself on Facebook, her cheeks in tears, accompanied by a text recounting the pain she feels on this “symbolic day”, while she leaves her daughter with her father.

Obviously, Marilou embodies what many other separated parents can feel during this holiday season.

His post was liked by more than 34,000 subscribers and shared 485 times by the end of the day on Sunday.

The approximately 2,400 testimonials she received in response to her post are messages of hope, support and understanding.

“With all my heart with you… my daughter has been at her dad’s since Thursday and is coming back tomorrow… Even following several years, it is still so painful, especially since it is not a situation that I had chosen … I give myself the right to cry too, ”said a subscriber.

“My parents separated when I was 12. And I lived exactly what you live today as soon as I had to leave one or the other of my parents to go celebrate at the other. I came to hate this party that brought up too many emotions. Life has been good to me, it has allowed me to reconcile with Christmas by granting me the happiness of giving birth to a son on Christmas Day, a surprise pregnancy! said another.

The 3 times a day founder reminds her audience that “life goes on even though it’s Christmas Day. And life is not all regarding sharing, joy and ecstasy”.
