With the approach of the long-awaited release of Diablo 4, we are in turmoil. In this context, players are on the lookout for any information concerning the game and its possible updates. A game developer to tweet information regarding updates to expect on release day.
No big balancing patch, but minor tweaks
Recently, a tweet from Joseph Pieporaa developer of the game, has lit the fuse by evoking a possible announcement of a balancing patch scheduled for the day of the game’s release. He quickly returned to his remarks by specifying that the version available on the beta slam would ultimately be the final version, with a few minor adjustments.
I spoke in error here and need to correct the record:
The Server Slam build was not .9, but actually a version of our day one build! There will be *very few* changes between this build and the one players will be playing at launch.
Deeply sorry for the confusion! https://t.co/Z2dogSaRvO

The initial information suggested that a major balancing patch would be deployed at the same time as the launch of Diablo 4. This prospect has cast doubt among gamers who feared that their carefully crafted builds during the beta are turned upside down at the last moment. Luckily for them, the developers finally ruled out that possibility by confirming that the beta slam version would indeed be the final version.
Some minor adjustments are well planned for the release, without disrupting the existing builds.

The adjustments in detail
The adjustments announced mainly relate to improvements (buffs) of certain characters and skills. Here are the main changes revealed:
General aspect
- L’Accelerating Aspect has had its duration and effect increased: critical strikes with primary skills now increase attack speed by 15-25% for 5 seconds (was 3 seconds previously).
Barbaric
- L’Aspect of Ancestral Echoes has been improved: the limit of one activation every 5 seconds has been removed, allowing for more frequent activation.
Druid
- The Cataclysm sees his luck increased to 72%. Additionally, Storm now stays active for 10 seconds (was 8 seconds), Petrify lasts 3.75 seconds (was 3 seconds), and critical hit damage on bosses is increased by 50% for 7, 5 seconds ( once morest 6 seconds before).
- The Rage you Grizzly gains in duration, going from 10 to 12 seconds.
- The Series now attacks 12 times (was 10) and deals 500% damage (was 400%).
Thief
- The Dash sees its damage increase, going from 32 to 36%.
Necromancer
- The Golem gains increased damage from 17% to 21%.
- The Tal Rasha fixed: When activated, it now drains blood from enemies in the area, dealing 40% damage and healing 15% of its life for each enemy drained. Damage and healing are tripled if there is only one enemy drained.
Elixirs
- The majority of elixirs saw their effects reduced. This might encourage players to save their plants and prioritize the use of elixirs in situations where they are really needed.
Game meta impacts
These adjustments, while minor, might still impact how players approach certain situations. For example, theImproved Aspect Accelerating might encourage players to favor more critical strikes to take advantage of the attack speed buff.
Improving the Aspect of Ancestral Echoes might make the barbarian more interesting to playthanks to its more frequent activations.
We must emphasize that these adjustments do not affect existing builds. Players will therefore be able to continue to benefit from their strategies developed during the beta, while taking advantage of the improvements made.
If the prospect of a large balancing patch may have raised concerns among Diablo 4 players, the confirmation that the beta slam version would be the final version reassures on the stability of existing builds. The announced adjustments are minor, but might nevertheless bring a plus to certain game situations. All that remains is to wait for the official release of Diablo 4 to take full advantage of it!
