The statements of the Egyptian make-up artist, Mohamed Ashoub, in which he stated that the late Samir Sabry had a second son, who had him by a well-known Egyptian artist, sparked controversy and opened the door to speculation regarding the artist’s identity.

Some have recalled the love story that united the late with his colleague Samah Anwar, that artist who appeared years ago to announce the existence of a son for her, so that some rely on this story and try to link between an unfinished marriage that almost brought together Samir Sabry with Samah Anwar, and the presence of a son for her.
But Samah Anwar responded to the matter years ago, through a television interview in which she appeared with the Egyptian journalist Amr El-Leithi, who asked her regarding her son.
Samah Anwar replied that she had married once, and the husband is the father of her son “Adham” and his name is “Atef Fawzy”, and there was a love story that united them, but he died when her son was two years old.
At the time of the episode’s presentation, she indicated that her son was close to twenty years old, while the Egyptian make-up artist Ashoub confirmed that the late artist’s son was 17 years old.

Samah Anwar confirmed that she did not remarry, following she saw that it was more appropriate to be a mother to her son, and with regard to the rumor that surrounded her that she was associated with a great artist and married him in secret, she replied, “Unfortunately no.”
Then she asked regarding the artist’s name, especially since many rumors surrounded her, to answer initially in the negative regarding what was reported regarding her and another married artist, and when Samir Sabry’s biography was received, she replied, “I wish, by God.”
“Age difference”
She then lists the reasons why the marriage did not occur between them, due to the great age difference and the circumstances were not in their favor, and she stressed that what brought her together is friendship, not passion.
Samah Anwar Samir Sabry described him as a member of her family and thus considers him, noting that he always asked regarding her and her son, and was accompanied by them on occasions.
