EU energy ministers will hold two exchanges of views on Friday. “During a first debate, they will have an exchange of views on possible emergency measures aimed at mitigating high energy prices,” it is announced. Ministers will then present their country’s state of preparedness for next winter. This debate will be held in public session starting at noon.
On Wednesday, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, had proposed five radical measures to counter the energy crisis. In particular, there is the fact of capping the prices of Russian gas. This does not at all seem to reassure certain countries, such as ours, which practically no longer buys gas from Putin’s country.
►► What the Belgians want is not new: it is a question a gas price capand not only on Russian.
►► This might significantly reduce your energy bill: we are talking regarding 770 euros per year.
