To add to the happiness of Diwali, Governor Sindh cut a cake, while Arts Council President Ahmed Shah and Anwar Maqsood wore medals to foreign dignitaries.
Earlier, Pakistan Hindu Council Chairman Task Force Gandhara Tourism Ramesh Kumar held a grand celebration of Diwali, the ancient festival of the Hindu community, at his house where Bhangra air and music took over.
On this occasion, Ramesh Kumar said that Diwali is a festival of light and superiority of good over evil, all religious freedoms are enjoyed in Pakistan, such ceremonies promote religious harmony.
The message is being sent internationally that everyone enjoys religious freedom in Pakistan because they enjoy joining each other’s happiness, not only the Hindu community but also the Ulema Sikh Christian community.
He further said that in the small and big cities of Pakistan, people are involved in each other’s happiness, praying that our country remains green and prosperous.
The participants who came to the event also congratulated everyone with a loving message on the occasion of Diwali.
In Karachi’s Swami Narayan Temple, Diwali preparations are also complete, while the Hindu community is shopping heavily to celebrate their religious festival with enthusiasm.
The history of Diwali is very ancient and it is mentioned in the ancient Puranas of Hinduism as ‘the day of victory of light over darkness’.
