It is a challenge that these students will not forget. Matthew Prince, a professor from the University of Chapman (California), proposed a somewhat special test to his class: making a TikTok video. Only, to spice it all up, he added a very specific instruction: if it is viewed more than a million times, he promises to cancel his exam.
Among the class, only one student accepted the challenge. To do this, she chose to simply film the instructions for the test which were displayed in the classroom. Result 24 hours later? His video has been viewed over 4 million times. A real hit and a largely successful challenge for this student. Thanks to her, her class will have one less exam!
Several days later, the professor in question spoke in the New York Times following being criticized for his ordeal. He explained that he wanted to show “(…) the idea of the democratization of virality and influence on social networks, in particular TikTok, and the fact that you do not have to be a celebrity to generate it“.
Definitely a teacher like no other.
