It may not have been Ursula von der Leyen’s best speech that she gave in the EU Parliament this week. But she was remarkable. Because there was a Commission President speaking who wanted to know it once more. She is still keeping a low profile regarding her ambitions for a second term in office. Anyone who followed her State of the Union speech might hardly doubt that the German wants to continue following the EU elections next June.
