On Friday September 29, 2023, Brussels was the scene of a historic demonstration in front of the European Parliament, where patriots from Antwerp and beyond gathered to demand the release of Ousmane Sonko, imprisoned with others political figures in Senegal. The streets leading to the symbolic square resounded with the voices of demonstrators, expressing solidarity with their compatriots and vigorously condemning the regime of President Macky Sall.

Ousmane Sonko’s lawyer, Saïf Larifou, provided his support by emphasizing the courage of the Senegalese people. He spoke of the birth of the PASTEF AFRICA movement, a symbol of African resistance against oppression. Larifou’s words resonated in the hearts of the demonstrators, strengthening their resolve to continue the fight.
