A crime that shook Egypt.. Salma Bahgat’s killer talks about the last day

The repercussions of the horrific murder committed by Islam Muhammad once morest the Egyptian student are still ongoing Salma Bahjatongoing.

The accused admitted before the prosecution that he threatened the victim with the same fate as the student of Mansoura, Naira Ashraf, who was also murdered by her colleague in front of the door of her university weeks ago.

He also revealed that he began threatening her with death if she remained insistent on her opinion, explaining that she had softened on occasion because of fear and re-talked to him, but soon renewed her refusal.

While he was threatening her, she responded to his threat that she would report to the police, and then asked him to stay away from her.

On one occasion, he mentioned that he got into a vehicle with her and she got off, because she refused his presence, and following putting pressure on her, she promised him to stay with him to release her and then she left.

He added that he threatened her, but she stopped resisting him during exams in order to avoid his evil, because she knew that she would not meet him once more following that period.

Regarding the details of the day of the crime, he pointed out that he called her following the last day of the exams, reminded her of what happened to the Mansoura girl, and threatened her with the same fate, but she did not respond to him, according to what was reported by “Cairo 24” website.

All he had to do was give her 17 fatal stab wounds on that day, 15 from the front and two from the back.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian Public Prosecutor had ordered last week to refer the killer, Islam Muhammad, to the competent criminal court to punish him for the premeditated murder of Salma Bahgat.

This crime sparked widespread anger in Egyptian society, which has not yet forgotten the murder of Mansoura student, Naira Ashraf, with almost the same method and reasons.
