A couple and their two children jumped out of the window of their apartment, on the 2nd floor of a building in La Ciotat in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, to escape a fire on the night of Saturday January 22 to Sunday January 23. , reports France Blue Provence.

The young parents of two children, aged 16 months and 6 years, are seriously injured. Their vital prognosis is engaged. The children suffer from several traumas. Six other people were evacuated unharmed from the building.

The fire broke out in the stairwell of their building rue Camille-Pelletan in La Ciotat, around 3 am. This fire would be linked to an electrical problem according to the first elements of the investigation.
