The councilor of Quilmes Nair Abad She is hospitalized in serious condition, following starring in a confusing episode at her partner’s house in the Buenos Aires town of Bernal Oeste, where they both had an argument that led to an event in which they had to be hospitalized with significant burns.
Abad, 35, is in intensive care at the Isidoro Iriarte hospital in the Quilmes district of Buenos Aires, with 35 percent of his body burned, while the doctors reported that he had two cardiac arrests from which he was able to emerge.
Sources close to the mayor’s couple indicated that she arrived on Saturday at the 30-year-old boyfriend’s house, located on Misiones street, between Ayacucho and Ituzaingó, in the Itatí neighborhood.
According to the first information, she would have had an argument with him that escalated in intensity and violence until at a certain moment she would have sprayed him with alcohol and set him on fire, but he immediately tried to put out the flames, which resulted in both of them having severe burns.
Abad’s boyfriend presented a less serious condition and for this reason he was transferred to the Hospital del Bicentenario in the city of Monte Grande, Esteban Echeverría’s Buenos Aires district.
The state of health of both is “reserved” and the investigation of the case is in charge of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) number 5, in charge of Jorge Saizar, of the Quilmes Judicial Department.
In the event that Abad evolves, she might be transferred to the Güemes Sanatorium in the city of Buenos Aires.
Justice, meanwhile, is investigating how the events that led to the burns of the Frente de Todos councilor and her boyfriend occurred.
What the prosecution is trying to determine is who handled the bottle of alcohol that caused the disaster. From the environment of both families they launched crossed accusations.
