Al-Marsad Newspaper: Consultant oncology and cancer surgery, Dr. Ali Al-Dhahabi, revealed the causes and early symptoms of cancer in children, especially that there are more than 400,000 children, ranging in age from zero to 19 years, who contract the disease annually.

Al-Dhahabi said during his interview with Sky News Arabia: “The main cause of childhood cancer is different from that of adults, because 9 out of 10 cases are caused by a defect in the genetic system, or a defect in the DNA, but adults are affected by external factors such as smoking or pollution.”
The most common
He continued, “The most common types of cancer in children are leukemia, leukemia, brain, lymphoma and neuroblastoma, and here the role of the father and mother is very important at this stage, because they are responsible for following up on the child and discovering any changes that occur to him.”
Symptoms
He continued: “A child from 0 to 5 years old finds it difficult to express his pain and pain, so if the father and mother notice any change in the child’s behavior, such as lethargy, loss of concentration, weakness in the muscles of the hands or walking, they should not delay presenting him to the doctor.”
A consultant oncologist and cancer surgeon concluded his statements: “If the child’s psyche, focus or appetite changes, he must be examined quickly.”
