Al-Marsad newspaper: Dr. Ziad Al-Rayes, a family medicine consultant at King Faisal Specialist Hospital, revealed the damages of excess vitamins in the body, stressing that it may lead to poisoning.
And he said during his meeting with Al-Ikhbariya channel: “We have vitamins that run in fat, such as vitamin A, D, and K.” These vitamins are stored in the body and may cause toxic damage to the body in the long run.
He continued: “Whoever tells you to take vitamin D and other vitamins in the long term, this is wrong, so patients come to us in the clinic with poisoning due to an excess of vitamins in the body.
He added: “Poisoning is due to an increase in the proportion of vitamin in the blood, and it does not lead to death, but it leads to an increase in the proportion of calcium in the body, muscle cramps and calcifications in the kidneys, and also vitamin A and vitamin D6 lead to nausea and toxic symptoms, such as those who take Panadol in abundance.
And he added, “Vitamin D deficiency, according to research conducted on 90% of society, suffers from it, and this percentage is high, especially in the country where the sun is present on most days of the year, but the reason may be that we always use cars, or women wear long gowns and not Expose them to the sun at the right time when they need it.
