As for architectural changes, in the main house, the layout of the rooms, the facade and the house were expanded, preserving only the foundation and three external walls of the original structure. In the attached house, only the foundation and external walls remained, with the demolition of the internal walls and roof.

The inspiration for the project came from the old houses on cocoa farms, seeking functionality and simplicity, maintaining the charm and warmth of the residents’ childhood memories.

The main points and highlights of the project are related to the proposal to create a “house in the countryside”, representing an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city to a calmer, simpler and more carefree life. The house reflects this way of life with its simplicity, functionality, comfort and warmth, highlighting the integration with nature.

The project is classified as a rustic and rural house, located in the Atlantic Forest. Natural elements such as wood, iron, stone, ceramics, renewable natural fibers and old objects from the family and vintage mines were privileged, creating an environment where imperfection is considered perfect.
