A computer bug delays the payment of the 100 euros

The computer service allowing to receive the fuel allowance of 100 euros is the victim of numerous bugs, according to information from RMC on Thursday. As a result, many motorists who are waiting for the bonus do not perceive it, without necessarily knowing the reason. The government had boasted of having simplified the process by proposing an average processing time of 14 days. It was without counting the grains of sand in the machine.

In January, recalls the radio, the platform could not register requests from motorists who owned a car with an old registration system (before 2009). A bug solved at the end of February. But data transmission problems between insurers and state services also led the platform to refuse 100,000 files, point out our colleagues.

More than half of the aid has been paid

Processing times are extended for some applicants without their knowing exactly why. Via the section “RMC is committed to you”, the station was able to have a listener’s file accepted. But that was without counting the loss of the RIB that she had nevertheless transmitted. Questioned by the radio, the Ministry of the Economy confirms the bugs but explains that these problems are “on the margins”. “We are talking about public money and it is normal that there are a maximum of checks”, justifies Bercy.

Since the launch of this fuel allowance, the office of Minister Bruno Le Maire indicates that “six million requests” have been made. Preferring to see the positive side, the services are pleased that “more than half of the bonuses” have been paid. “It’s not bad after all! “, comments the cabinet of the minister. The bonus, which was originally due to end on February 28, can be requested until March 31.
