A Chavista businessman denied the Holocaust and said he would like to ask Adolf Hitler “why he didn’t finish what he wanted to do”

A Venezuelan businessman identified with Chavismo denied the Holocaust and stated that he would like to have lunch with the genocidal Nazi Adolf Hitler to ask Why didn’t you finish your job?in an interview filled with other controversial statements.

Stephen Trapiellofounder and director of the channel Your TVwas asked with whom he would like to have a lunch between characters like Adolf Hitler or Fidel Castro, he replied: “With both. To Hitler to ask him why he did not finish what he wanted to do”.

As he began to explain why he wanted to meet Fidel Castrothe interviewer Vladimir Villegas interrupted him for his statement regarding the leader of the Third Reich.

Trapiello deepened: “He did not finish what he was going to do.” Villegas pointed out to him: “Finish with the Jews, finish with the communists…”. To which Trapiello replied, hiding behind ignorance: “I don’t know what he was going to do, he killed himself. He wasn’t around at the time.”

“There was no holocaust? Are you a denier?Villegas questioned him, clarifying that he is the son of a Jewish refugee and a communist.

“Everyone tells their story and I was not in that story. I don’t read, I watch movies. Since the movies are from Hollywood, they tell me the story in a way. The story depends on who tells it”, argued the businessman, the son of Asturians who fled the dictatorship of Francisco Franco.

Trapiello, who identified himself as “chavez chavista”Avoiding saying whether he is from the left or the right, he also spoke harshly regarding Venezuelan migrants, with special criticism of those who cross the Darién region through Colombia and Venezuela to try to reach the United States.

“Those who went through the Darién did it because they were idiots,” said Esteban Trapiello

“They do it for idiots, for idiots, for idiots!”, he said, blaming the opposition and the media for having manipulated Venezuelans.

“How did the people leave? Was the departure manipulated or not? They believed they might drown the country,” he added. “It is stupid to go through the Darién jungle. The one who leaves for an idiot should die for an idiot. Tell me who the hell is going to go to the Darién knowing the risk they are running. Pure idiot.”

Hundreds of thousands of migrants of different nationalities have passed through that jungle. So far this year, according to the portal A FronterTo over 68 thousand people crossed the regionand 18 deaths have been recorded.

Trapiello, who claims to have driven “successfully the careers of 72 artists, including musicians and actors”, also denigrated the media and indicated that Venezuelan journalism “is shit”, as well as the National Association of Journalists. According to him, “they have become not only opinion-makers, but have become political leaders, but they have all failed.” Regarding the photojournalists, he said that “I would put a bomb on everyone.”

In the interview, he also defined the Chavista minister as a “life friend” and a “political phenomenon.” Tarek El Aissami.

David Smolansky, leader of the Popular Will party, criticized the businessman following the uproar of his statements: “The Chavista ideology in 2 minutes (…) What a Nazi you are, Trapiello. Trash”.
