A casting to recruit the dancers of the new clip of Stromae was launched this Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 in Brussels. Many young people participated, with the crazy dream of appearing in one of the clips of the Belgian singer. Our team went to meet them.
Stromae created the event in the 8:00 p.m. newspaper of TF1 this Sunday by unveiling “Hell”, the new title of his future album which evokes “suicidal thoughts“, while the artist has recovered from a burnout in recent years. After the buzz that the singer caused by his staging, Stromae launched a casting to find dancers for the music video of his next single Surprise: the clip will be shot in Brussels on January 21 and 22. Something to delight his fans!
A “dream”, a huge “opportunity: meeting with some of the cast members
While Stromae has just unveiled the official clip for “Hell” this Wednesday, at the same time is taking place the casting. Organized in Brussels on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the Alaeti Dance Center in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, the cast saw more than 300 participants perform one following the other. The dancers who were able to appear for the casting had been preselected by the production. She is looking for dancers, men and women, from 15 years old.
Our journalist Amélie Schildt went there to meet the young participants who dream of dancing in such a clip alongside Stromae. And in front of the dance club, there was a crowd.
“He’s the holy grail, Stromae is an incredible artist. I dream of being in a music video with him, what dancer wouldn’t dream of that?”, launches a young woman interviewed by our journalist. She explains that she traveled from Marseille to participate. Others come from Paris to “the opportunity” enormous that this represents.
The only clue that the participants received: an umbrella. A mysterious casting for Stromae’s next project, still top secret.
