A major fire broke out on Friday in a Casablanca market in the Moulay Rachid district of Casablanca, quickly spreading to a nearby slum.
Videos on social media showed how the fire literally consumed the market.
The civil protection agents who went to the scene are continuing their efforts to contain the flames.
An investigation has been launched to find the cause of the fire.
