The circumstances of the accident are not yet known.

According to our colleagues from RTBF, several people were killed and others injured in La Louvière following a car drove into the crowd gathered for the Carnival in Strépy-Bracquegnies.

While the Gilles were out for the traditional pick-up around 5 a.m., a car arrived from behind and “pulverized” many people, confirmed the mayor. We are talking regarding at least 4 dead.

A suspect has been arrested.

We do not know the circumstances of the tragedy.
