Dr. Mabrouk Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Al-Azhar University, the former branch of Sohag, responded to a question he received from his contact, in which she says: My husband divorced me without my knowledge and kept having sex with me for two years, and following two years he told me that he divorced me two years ago and left the house, is there any sin on me?
Mabrouk Attia said during a clip on his YouTube channel, that this woman has no fault; Because she did not know, and therefore the guilt falls on her husband, who divorced her and did not tell her anything.
Attia added that the wife in this case dealt with the origin in the matter, so when the husband quarrels, is absent, or is late for his wife, he went out and came back, and he is her husband, but if he divorced her in absentia and the paper did not reach her, and he cohabited with her twenty years and then told her that he divorced her twenty years ago, “and he drinks a curse.” God’s wrath and wrath.
And he continued, that there is a worship called “clarity and guidance”, denouncing a Muslim man who divorces his wife and does not tell her, but rather has intercourse with her as well, i.e. fornication.
He stressed, that what happened over the two years was unilateral adultery because she did not know that it was adultery and thought that it was permissible, “These malicious and bad surprises will be held accountable by those who wished for our honor and our religion.”
Attia explained that the debt has Sharia rulings, so the first and second divorces have a return of three months. For the first time, the three shots do not count once more.
