A painful incident took place in the Agami area in Alexandria governorate, northern Egypt, on Wednesday evening, following a young man died from a gunshot wound while celebrating his sermon.
In the details, Al-Amriya Police Department received the first notification from Mabaret Al-Asafra West Hospital that a young man had arrived in critical condition with a gunshot wound, as he died minutes following he was transferred.
It turned out that the 21-year-old, Mustafa Magdy, known as “The Spaniard”, was celebrating his sermon with his friends.
Severe bleeding
However, while he was waiting for his fiancée to leave the hairdresser in Youssef area, he was shot by a stray bullet fired by one of his friends in celebration of him.
Investigations also revealed that the bullet caused severe bleeding in the young man, and he was taken to the hospital, but he died minutes following his arrival.
The police forces are intensifying their efforts to find out the circumstances of the accident and release a report on the incident, while the Public Prosecution office has taken over the investigation.
This comes as social media circulated a video clip of the young man celebrating moments before his injury.
