A bug in the iCloud application sends your photos to strangers’ computers.. Get to know them

Microsoft’s newly announced iCloud for Windows app, which aims to connect your iCloud to the Photos app on your PC, has developed a bug that causes photos to be sent to the wrong users, reports digitartlend.

And several users reported cases on the MacRumors forums where they received someone else’s photos when trying to upload their iCloud data on a Windows device, and similarly got their own photos sent elsewhere.

Some users also detailed receiving corrupted videos that only display black screens with scan lines, and users began sharing their issues with the app on November 17 following Microsoft unveiled the feature this week.

The iCloud for Windows app aims to allow users to consolidate all their content from many different sources, including phones, cameras, and various cloud storage options, such as iCloud Photos and OneDrive.

Obviously, the main marketing connection is Apple’s iCloud storage, and photos from iCloud are supposed to be labeled under their own folder for easy identification, but the app creates a single gallery for all your photos and videos on Windows 11.
