A budget deficit of 11.5 billion dirhams at the end of February

C once morest a deficit of 10.2 billion dirhams a year earlier, thehe situation of Treasury expenses and resources shows a budget deficit of 11.5 billion dirhams (MMDH) at the end of February 2022, according to the General Treasury of the Kingdom (TGR).

This deficit takes into account a positive balance of 13.6 billion dirhams released by the special accounts of the Treasury (CST) and the State services managed autonomously (SEGMA), specifies the TGR in its monthly financial statistics bulletin. (BMSFP) for the month of February 2022. The bulletin also reports an increase in gross ordinary revenue of 7.2% to 38.8 billion dirhams and ordinary expenditure issued by 18.4%, thus generating a negative ordinary balance of 10.2 billion dirhams.

Regarding expenditure issued under the General Budget, it was 72.6 billion dirhams at the end of February 2022, an increase of 7.5% compared to their level at the end of February 2021, due to the 21% increase in expenditure operating costs, combined with a 2.5% reduction in investment expenditure and a 15% reduction in budgeted debt charges.

In addition, the TGR indicates that the receipts of the CST reached 25.2 billion dirhams.
