A British doctor reveals a food substance that protects against arthritis

Al-Marsad newspaper: British doctor, Deborah Lee, announced that eating legumes, especially beans, helps improve general health and reduces the risk of arthritis.

The Express newspaper points out that, according to the doctor, legumes are rich in nutrients beneficial to health, including various vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber. But its antioxidant properties are especially valuable.

“These antioxidants counteract dangerous molecules called free forms of oxygen, inhibiting their risk, and also help reduce inflammation,” she says.

The doctor stresses that inflammation in particular turns into a chronic condition and becomes the main cause of the development of arthritis.

And, she adds, legumes help absorb magnesium, which plays an important role in fighting infections.
