A Brest pharmacy will vaccinate against monkeypox – Brest

The preventive vaccination campaign against the monkeypox virus was launched in France at the beginning of July among people particularly at risk of exposure. In Brittany, nine vaccination centers are open in the free screening and diagnostic information centres, including that of the University Hospital of Brest (tel 0 800 08 13 29). Following the national experiment initiated on August 10 in pharmacies, the Ministry of Health decided to extend the system.

As of October 3, 2022, the Brittany Regional Health Agency, in consultation with the Regional Council of the Order of Pharmacists and the Regional Union of Health Professionals (URPS) of pharmacists, has designated three pharmacies in Brittany to complete this vaccination offer, in Redon, Lannion and Brest. This is the university pharmacy, 40 rue du Docteur Langevin, in Brest, which will vaccinate on Tuesdays, appointments are made on Doctolib.

Vaccination is recommended by the High Authority for Health to men who have sex with men and trans people, in both cases multi-partners, to people who prostitute themselves, to professionals working in places of sexual consumption.
