A boy collects cans for 9 months to buy a Nintendo Switch
A boy named Benja from Lo Prado, Santiago de Chile, tells through his networks that together with his sister he managed to collect a total of 495.13 kg of cans for 9 months with the sole purpose of buying a Nintendo Switch. During this mission he kept a count in a notebook to know how much he had collected in each of the deliveries until he practically recycled the weight equivalent to a 1979 Volkswagen Beetleand this great effort was enough to fulfill his dream.
In Chile a Nintendo Switch has a approximate price from €303 to €397, which makes it a big investment for many people. That didn’t stop Benja though, as he is now happy with his Nintendo Switch and a copy of one of the most popular games of all time, Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This, in addition to motivating many young people not to stop fighting for their goals, also encourages get people to commit to recycling furthermore, helping the planet is something we all have to contribute to, and being compensated for it is surely one of the most rewarding things of all.
