A boy was very close to dying in the Buenos Aires town of Haedo following starring in a dramatic moment: he let go of his father’s hand while they were walking, he ran to the middle of the street and in a matter of seconds was hit by a bus. Although the impact was violent, the minor was unharmed.
The chilling episode occurred in the Rivadavia Avenuealmost at the intersection with the street Constitutionwhere internal 3148 from line 153 Suddenly the baby crossed her path. Although the vehicle was not traveling at a high speed, it did not stop and was carried away. According to what is observed in the video of the event, recorded by the security camera of a business, the boy left a gallery with his father and from one moment to another he changed direction towards the middle of the street.
The man was barely able to chase his son but it was not enough. However, it was a lucky misfortune and the minor barely suffered a few scratches. In the images it is also seen how following the accident, a woman -visibly angry- was on the driver’s side and rebuked him. He hit the bus window to reproach him for what he had done. Behind him, another man also faced the driver. What both had not observed is that the accident had occurred from the sudden action of the minor.
Carolina, one of the merchants in the area and whose store had the camera that captured the event, spoke with Channel Thirteen regarding the episode. “I was traumatized all day. Every time I watch the video it makes me very sad. No one as a father, mother or even driving wants to go through something like this. We know that it is a drama if there is a person at risk, but since it was a child, we were very moved, “she said.
“I was working and I started to hear dramatic screams, that’s when I looked out and saw the baby with the father getting back up from the floor. There I didn’t know what happened, I know that the boy opened his eyes and was in shock. When I began to fully understand what was happening, I called the SAME, almost crying and in the background I saw people beating the bus,” added the woman.
With the certainty that there were no victims or seriously injured, Carolina shared the footage. “I handed over the material to the police and the driver so that the situation might be organized a little more,” she said. Finally, she remembered that it was the boy who let go of her father’s hand and spoke regarding the bus driver’s face. “He aged ten years in five minutes,” she closed.
After the incident, local media reported that the boy apparently suffers from autism. “They left an office in the gallery across the street and you can see in the video how the boy looks this way, I have the toy store next door, you see that he looked and shot for the street, in an act of spontaneity.
