This Saturday, the Liège firefighters intervened in the Meuse, near the quay of Maestricht (Grand Curtius), because a floating body had been spotted. Indeed, they fished out the body of a man, aged regarding fifty, around 3:30 p.m. this Saturday.
It was people who boarded the river shuttle who spotted the body…
The identity of this person and the causes of his death are unknown at this stage.
The Liège public prosecutor’s office was notified and a medical examiner was dispatched. According to the first elements collected, it would be a suicide.
