A body found in the canal in Bracquegnies

Around 9:30 a.m. this Sunday, members of the La Louvière fire department were called near the Pont-Drawbridge in Bracquegnies. Thus, according to our colleagues from the Province, the louviérois firefighters traveled with a divers’ vehicle and a pumper.

They made a gruesome discovery. They actually fished out the body of a sixty-something. The victim seems to have left the home “L’Espoir”, located rue des Canadiens in Strépy. In addition, the police remained very discreet regarding what happened.

The firefighters finally stayed more than 3 hours on the spot. As for the police, members of the La Louvière police zone also came. The public prosecutor’s office in Mons is currently handling the case.
