Three people were stabbed and another was injured while trying to prevent a robbery, in what the Daily Mail described as a ‘bloodbath’ on the streets of central London this morning, as a mass emergency response was seen outside the city’s tallest building near Liverpool Street station, as cars rushed Multiple ambulances and police cars to the venue in Bishopsgate.

Video footage on social media showed four police cars and four ambulances on the road next to the Bishopsgate skyscraper. The two, who were said to be wearing masks, attacked those who tried to intervene, the latest incident in a cycle of stabbing and knife crime across London and more broadly in the UK.

The City of London Police said: “We are aware of an incident this morning BishopsgateOur officers are at the scene and a London ambulance is present. collar is in place now.

They later added: “Three victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.. This is an ongoing situation, but it is not being treated as terrorism-related.. This incident is being treated as a suspected robbery. Investigations are ongoing.”

The London Ambulance Service said in a tweet on Twitter: ‘We were called at 9:52 am today for reports of a stabbing incident in… Bishopsgate We’ve dispatched a number of resources—three ambulance crews, two forward paramedics, two incident response officers, and our own tactical response unit Our crew treated four patients. Three have been hospitalized and one has been discharged.” This latest incident is one of many horrific stabbings in England in recent weeks.
