A serious accident involving a motorcycle occurred this Saturday around 12 p.m. on the A602 near the MontLégia hospital, in the Liège-Brussels direction, on the right-hand strip.
Only one motorcycle is involved. The accident was caused by excessive speed. According to witnesses, the driver was on the second or third lane when he cut the road to take the “MontLégia” exit, hitting the security bollard head-on.
The traffic police intervened on the spot as well as the firefighters of Liège.
The pilot, born in 1965, unfortunately lost his life. His passenger is between life and death at the nearby MontLégia hospital.
Given the circumstances, an automotive expert was dispatched to the scene, which confirms that there is no third-party intervention.
The accident involved this followingnoon significant traffic jams. Caution was in order.
