2023 will mark the tenth anniversary of the license The Last of Us. For the occasion, Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog, decided to address the fans of the franchise through some rather special lines. No doubt, fans will be served this year!
2023 marks ten years of The Last of Us
The June 14, 2013 released the very first opus of The Last of Us on PS3. You would have understood it, 2023 will mark the ten years of this famous franchise dear to all of us.
A license that marked the fans…
The adventures of Joel et Ellie marked an entire generation of players and fans. Hard, realistic, but terribly beautiful, The Last of Us first of the name underlines the rise of Naughty Dog. Neil knows it very well. In this sense, the co-president of the Dogs thanks the fans of the studio for their support and their love that they have had for it for so many years now. Cosplays, fan arts, letters, the Dogs community has talent and a big heart.
… and the whole world!
But the PlayStation franchise has also impacted the video game industry. Indeed, all the games have sold more than 37 million copies. By rounding these numbers, The Last of Us Part I it is 20 millions of sales and The Last of Us Part II, 10 millions. Suffice to say that with the release of the adaptation series on HBO, these figures will continue to increase during the year, making even more The Last of Usa renowned license.
