A belated Christmas present for the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid

The Voglauer Anglöckler groups “sung” around 1,800 euros for the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid.

No matter whether it’s snowing, raining or shining: For 40 years, the “Voglauer Angloeckler” have been walking from door to door in December in the Abtenau districts of Voglau, Pichl, Rigaus, Waldhof, Wegscheid, in Wallingwinkel and in Weitenau to ask for donations for the good Purpose to collect.

This Advent, too, the Voglauer fishing groups were out and regarding from December 7th to 15th. During their home visits, the passionate singers performed old, traditional folk songs and wished the residents a happy new year. The collected donations of around 3,500 euros once once more benefited non-profit organizations this year. This year the choice fell on the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid and the Abtenauer Lebenshilfe.

“Back in December, the Voglauer Anglöcklers decided to donate part of the money to the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid. We and the people of Abtenau who donate are convinced that this money will be put to good use. May it benefit an affected family. We wish you a lot of strength and many more Successes in the fight once morest cancer,” emphasizes Hans Schnitzhofer, chairman of the Voglauer Angloeckler.

“We would like to thank the Voglauer Anglöcklers for this belated Christmas present,” says Heide Janik, chairwoman of the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid, happily, adding: “We are very grateful to be part of this special tradition and we thank the people of Abtenau for their willingness to donate.”
