A 9th success in a row for the Nets

Brooklyn extended its NBA winning streak to nine on Monday. The Nets won 125-117 in Cleveland thanks in particular to Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, authors of 32 points each.

Winner of 13 of its last 14 matches, Brooklyn took the opportunity to take 3rd place in the Eastern Conference at the expense of the Cavaliers. The Nets led by 10 points when Durant left the field less than two minutes from time following an offensive foul.

Irving, who played a key role alongside LeBron James in Cleveland’s 2016 coronation, had the last laugh once morest his former team. During the first half, Durant passed former San Antonio Spurs star Tim Duncan for 15th place on the NBA’s all-time leading scorers list.

Darius Garland scored 18 of his 46 points in the fourth quarter to keep the Cavaliers in the game, but it wasn’t enough due to the inside performance of Cleveland star Donovan Mitchell, author of only 15 points.
