[Archyde.com]-Boris Romanchenko, who survived the Nazi Germany’s Holocaust (Jewish mass slaughter) last week in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, was found dead in a bombardment by Russian troops. He was 96 years old.

During World War II, Romanchenko was placed in the Nazi concentration camps Bouchenwald, Dora Mittelbau, and Bergen-Belsen, but survived.

An organization for survivors of the Buchenwald camp issued a memorial on the 21st, explaining that the apartment complex where Mr. Romanchenko lived was bombarded and a fire broke out.

Ukrainian President Zelensky lamented late on the 21st, “Think regarding how much Romanchenko has experienced.” Russian President Vladimir Putin has insisted on “de-Naziization” of Ukraine, but said that “one day of the war clearly shows the meaning of de-Naziization for Russians.”

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense ironically said in a Twitter post, “Mr. Putin has done what even Hitler mightn’t’achieve’.”
