A 75-year-old man was recovered dead this morning from the marine area of the Municipal Camping in Alexandroupoli.
According to information, the incident occurred a few meters from the shore, when people from the Municipal Camping spotted the unfortunate man in the water and tried to pull him out, but he was unconscious.
As the Coast Guard Headquarters states in its relevant announcement, “an EKAV ambulance went to the scene, whose crew confirmed his death”.
It is noted that a preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Port Authority and that an autopsy has already been ordered at the Forensic Sciences Laboratory P.G.N. Rhodope.
